Send a link to your phone.
Or to any other browser.
Windows PC to iPhone. Mac to Android. Chrome to Firefox. Click the Tabsend button, pick where it goes, and it opens there.
- Open-source apps, on GitHub
- No sign-in on your devices
- Encrypted on your device
- Phone off? The link waits
- 1Click the Tabsend button
- 2Pick where it goes
- 3It opens there
How it works
-
1Install it on each device
Add Tabsend to each browser you use, and the Tabsend app to your phone. Takes a minute.
-
2Pair them once
Scan the code with your phone, or paste the pairing link into another browser. No sign up, no password.
-
3Send a link
Click the Tabsend button, or right-click any link, and pick a browser or a phone. It shows up there in about a second. On your phone, tap Share, then Tabsend.
Faster still, in Chrome, Edge and Brave: press Ctrl Shift S (on a Mac, ⌘ Shift S) to open the list without touching the mouse.
Chrome only sends to Chrome. Tabsend sends to all of them.
Every browser has a way to send a page to your other devices. It only works if you use that same browser on every computer and phone you own.

Who it's for
-
Work PC and iPhone
Your company picked Windows and Edge. You picked an iPhone. Send links between them in one click, both ways.
-
Mac, but not Safari
You use Chrome or Firefox on your Mac. Send links to your iPhone or Android phone from anywhere, not only when the phone is next to you.
-
Two browsers, one computer
Chrome for work, Firefox for everything else. Or two Chrome profiles. Each one is in the list on its own, so a link lands in exactly the one you pick.
-
Trying a new browser
Switching to Vivaldi, Opera or Zen? Add Tabsend, pair it once, and it sends to your phone and your other browsers like before.
Where it works
Tabsend runs in your browser, so any computer will do: Windows, Mac, Linux or ChromeOS. On phones and tablets, it's an app for Android, iPhone and iPad.
-
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi
And other browsers built on Chrome, like Arc. Click the Tabsend button, or right-click any link.
-
Firefox
Also Firefox-based browsers like Zen and LibreWolf. Everything the Chrome version does, plus: right-click any tab to send it.
-
Android
Links arrive as a notification. Tap it and the page opens in your usual browser. To send one, tap Share in any app, then Tabsend.
-
iPhone and iPad
Links arrive as a notification. Tap it and the page opens in Safari, or whichever browser you set as default. To send one, tap Share, then Tabsend.
Not yet: Safari on a Mac. Chrome, Firefox, Edge and the others all work on a Mac.
Phone off? The link waits for it.
Send it now, even if the other device is off, asleep or out of signal. The link waits for up to a week and shows up once the device is back.
Your browser tells you right away: Sent to My iPhone if it arrived, or opens when it wakes if the phone is off.
$15 a year. Or free if you run it yourself.

Run it yourself
Free
Put Tabsend on your own server or home network. Same apps, same features, no limits. You look after the server; the guide walks you through it.
Read the setup guideWe don't read your links
-
No sign-in on your devices
The apps never ask for an email address or a password. Your devices recognize each other after you pair them once.
-
Locked before it leaves
Each link is encrypted on your device, and only your own devices hold the key. Our server passes it along still locked.
-
Open-source apps
The apps that lock your links are open source, so anyone can check what they do. The server code is public too, and you can run your own copy.
Technical details
Encryption. Every link, with its page title and icon, is encrypted on your device
with libsodium (crypto_box: X25519 and XSalsa20-Poly1305), once for each device
you send it to, plus one copy for your history that only your own devices can open.
Delivery. The server keeps a queue on disk and wakes the target over an open connection, a web push or a regular check, whichever reaches it first. A link is only finished when the target confirms it.
Same code, hosted or not. Our hosted service runs exactly the server code that is published. There is no private version.
What our server sees
- Which device sent to which
- The size of the encrypted message
- When it arrived
- IP addresses and push addresses
- Locked copies of your history, kept 30 days
What it only sees locked
- The link
- The page title
- The page icon
Our server keeps the list of your devices. Someone who broke into it could add a device to your group, and it would show up in your device list. No independent security audit has been done. The design and its known limits are written up in the code repository. Read the full privacy policy.
Questions
How do I send a link from my computer to my phone?
Add Tabsend to your browser and install the Tabsend app on your phone. Pair them once by scanning a code. After that, click the Tabsend button in your browser and pick your phone. The link shows up there.
How do I send a link from my PC to my iPhone?
Add Tabsend to Chrome or Edge on your PC and install the Tabsend app on your iPhone. Pair them once by scanning a code. Then click the Tabsend button and pick your iPhone. The link arrives as a notification and opens in Safari, or whichever browser you set as default.
How do I send a link from my phone to my computer?
On your phone, tap Share in any app, then choose Tabsend and pick the browser you want. The page opens in that browser.
Can I send a link from Chrome to Firefox on the same computer?
Yes. Add Tabsend to both browsers and pair them. Each one shows up in the list on its own, so you can send a page from Chrome to Firefox, or between two Chrome profiles.
Does it work with Safari?
On iPhone and iPad, yes: links open in Safari, or whichever browser you set as default. Safari on a Mac isn't supported yet. If you use Chrome, Firefox, Edge or another browser on your Mac, Tabsend works there.
Does it work between Android and iPhone, or Chrome and Firefox?
Yes. Tabsend works across Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Firefox, Android and iPhone, in any combination. You don't need the same browser, the same phone brand or the same account on both ends.
Is Tabsend a Pushbullet alternative?
For sending links, yes. Tabsend works on iPhone, which Pushbullet doesn't, and it sends to a specific browser rather than just a device, so you can send from Chrome to Firefox on the same computer. Tabsend only does links; Pushbullet also handles files, texts and notifications.
Do I need an account?
Not on your devices. The apps never ask for an email address or a password. Your devices recognize each other after you pair them once. If you use our hosted service, you sign up with an email address so we can manage your subscription.
What happens if my phone is off?
The link waits for up to a week and shows up once your phone is back on and connected.
Can Tabsend see the links I send?
We don't read them. Each link is encrypted on your device, and only your own devices hold the key, so our server only ever passes along locked messages. To be complete: if someone broke into our server, they could add a device to your group and receive your links from then on. That device would show up in your device list.
How much does it cost?
Every account starts with 30 days free, no card needed. After that it is $15 a year for up to 30 devices. Payments are not refunded, so use the free month to make sure it works for you. You can turn off renewal at any time, and Tabsend keeps working to the end of the year you paid for. You can also run Tabsend on your own server for free.
